Nothing like a little family style to kick off the weekend. From June 10 through 12, The Third Annual Grey Gardens Staunch Fest celebrates staunch families on film. Specifically, the 1976 documentary Grey Gardens by (appropriately enough) brothers Albert and David Maysles features a mother and daughter who prove that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. What better way to imitate Little Edie than in the house that the surviving Maysles built. It’s just a $10 suggested donation.
Also on display: Photographs by Ron Lieberman of Little Edith Beale in 1977 circa her Reno Sweeney performance and other Grey Gardens memorabilia. More information about Ron Lieberman’s work visit here.
